The Greenthumbs

Often the TV world will celebrate kids who are fantastic musicians or unbelievable at sport
but this time it was the kids who know all about pumpkins, frogs and seed saving that we went looking for.
We put the call out for our greenthumbs from the Northern Rivers Region of NSW and we found
some great kids who love getting grubby.

These kids are 100% natural … and 100% awesome!

More than 100 ‘audition videos’ were submitted in response to a call out on Facebook
and via regional media. Some greenthumbs were recruited via Kurtis Laurie, Aboriginal
Education Officer at Yamba Public School and Helen T, playscape designers for their help.

The greenthumbs segments were filmed at the Yamba Community Garden
and The Cubby House for Kids in Northern NSW.
