Melania Jack (Stevens) is the other half of performance-art duo Shiny Shiny.
Her experience in music performance and film production has developed her wide range of skills and a great enthusiasm for cross platform multi-media projects. She has a passion for music, songwriting, live performance, music film clips and social change.
Melania was awarded best emerging talent at the Byron Bay all Shorts and Best Music Film Clip – Dolphin Awards for her work on the Julia Rose film clip ‘Melbourne Town’ and Best Local Talent at the Queer Fruits Film Festival for Shiny’s clip Snakes and Ladders. She holds a Diploma of Film Production (SAE Byron Bay) a Diploma of Contemporary Music (Northern Rivers Conservatorium Arts Centre) and a Certificate in Training and Education, Program Development and Facilitation (Outlook Centre).
Melania has been facilitating music workshops for women’s projects for over 7 years, with a focus on using the workshop process as a tool for participant empowerment and expression.
